We love fireworks!!

One of the best parts about our venue is our fabulous park and ability to have amazing fireworks shows!  We absolutely love when the fireworks kick off the dance party!  It’s such a fun surprise for guests too and it’s not just for the Fourth or New Year’s!

Pyrotex is our go to for all the fireworks here and we love that you can choose the song to be played.  They design the show around the song so the blasts can really hit the beat just at the right time!

We’ve even had one bride setup fireworks as a surprise for her mother’s birthday which just so happened to be on her wedding day!   How sweet is she?!1015_DSC_4367 final.jpg

A Swanky Cocktail Party at the Pavilion

We just love changing up an element of an event and cocktail hour is the perfect setting to try something new!

Usually they are hosted in our foyer, but changing up cocktail hour to the Pavilion on a gorgeous Spring evening was the perfect decision!

Todd Events created this gorgeous palette of cream, blue, peach and blush mixed in with the greenery of the landscaping.  It was a dream!

093_MayDay_2017_BenQPhotography.jpg

The guests stepped off to the side to get fancied up with bow ties, hats and parasols!  Just imagine your monogram in those roses and you’re on your way to a fabulous start to the party!

These blue and white linens were the perfect southern chic touch-we can totally see a cute summer dress with this pattern!

An interactive station can be so fun and it doubles as a favor!  Betty with Scribbles and Swirls created a beautiful magnolia print and then taught the guests how to watercolor their monogram.  It’s always fun to learn something new, why should cocktail hour be any different?!

The blue and white theme was even carried into the the bar facades, vases and custom built lounge while the giant blush & coral arrangements were the pièce de résistance!

As guests sipped on some of the best libations from Sourced Craft Cocktails the spring breeze drifted through the trees creating a magic moment.

Who doesn’t love a little lounge furniture?  These pale pink and ivory settings matched perfectly against the greenery of the park and the soft touch of gold brought in just the right amount of glam.

Springing into Weddings at Arlington Hall

The Spring time is an especially favorite time of  year here for brides of Arlington Hall.  Sitting on a 22 acre park lends itself to some of the most amazing images full of gorgeous blooms and lush greenery.  The azaleas and red bud trees are some of our favorites and a peek below and you will agree!  lauren_0095- Sarah Kate Photo.jpglauren_0023.jpglauren_0053.jpg

The Red Bud Trees off the Dallas Terrace are so stunning, if only we knew exactly they were to bloom each year!

Ceremonies at the Pavilion are one of our favorites as the sun sets behind this space making for amazing nuptial photos!   Of course the cherry blossoms are always at the top of the list for Spring weddings and the ceremony below is no exception!

Holiday Parties Galore!

Thanksgiving is over and we know what that means!  Holiday parties!!!   While we do a lot of weddings here at the Hall, we love working with our corporate and non-profit clients!

December is always jam packed with corporate and non-profit luncheons, mixers, casino parties, seated dinners and fabulous receptions!  No matter what you are celebrating, we love to embrace it and make your company’s event unique!  For this holiday post, we decided to go with a party that was more on the non-traditional side of colors and decor, and we ABSOLUTELY love it!!

ArlingtonHall-1.jpg

Guests entered into the foyer that was transformed into an icicle wonderland!  Crystal beading hung from above and formed an archway leading the way to bold pops of red, fuchsia, deep purples and silver.  The silver and gold linen from BBJ Linen is a constant here and always looks good!

ArlingtonHall-21.jpg

This setup by Gloss Luxury Rentals is one of our all time favorites!  This four sided lounge piece right in the middle of the great hall is ideal for anyone!  Guests could dance if they liked, nosh on small plate items like slow braised short ribs, or just hang out.

Gorgeous detail shots by John Cain Photography of the lounge, floral by The Wildflower, and snowflake lighting by Beyond!

Out the doors to the Front Porch a clear tent was setup with a massive chandelier and a casino party where the biggest winner received 2 round trip tickets to anywhere in the US!  Talk about a nice raffle prize!   Out on the Dallas Terrace, cafe lighting and a nice conversation setting was available for the guest that might want to get some fresh air and have a quick convo.

ArlingtonHall-77.jpg

The Lee Terrace was spectacular with beautiful uplighting, inviting lounge furniture and of course, toasty heaters.   We would definitely call this party a stunner!!  We hope to work with you soon!

Lei Day Party for Wedding Planners!

Here at Arlington Hall, we LOVE wedding planners.  There’s nothing better than having a good wedding planner on your creative team for your special day.  For the last 3 years in May, we have hosted a themed appreciation party to show these amazing people how much we love working with!

This year, we did a luau theme and called it Lei Day!

We greeted all the wedding planners with leis made by each florist as way to get everyone in the Aloha spirit right when they walked in the door!ArlingtonHallLeiDay-166.jpg

The Great Hall was transformed by Todd Events into a “Tropical Chic” cocktail space complete with Hula Dancers, tasty bites like Hawaiian Pork Spring Rolls, Ulupalakua Grilled Vegetable Wrap with Papaya Dressing and AMAZING cocktails by Sourced Craft Cocktails.

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-19.jpg

The conch shell was blown to signal the end of cocktail hour and the start of dinner!  Guests walked outside to the front porch, where an amazing Sandone tent was setup just bursting with creativity from all the designers!  Of course, all the guests, loving social media, had to stop and snap some photos.

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-372.jpg

Each florist was given a table and were told the theme and then they ran wild with whatever they could dream up!

First up was the Garden Gate!  They made the flamingos with hydrangeas and pink velvet and it was larger than life!   All the orchids were simply stunning!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-222.jpg

The Southern Table wow in corals, oranges and golds.  Guests lucky enough to snag a seat at this table were gifted with a gold pineapple tumbler!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-246.jpg

The rich purples and yellows of Three Branches Floral against the greenery of the park was stunning!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-280.jpg

Branching Out embraced the Garden Isle of Kauai with their tablescape and really went for it with all shades of green.  Loving the gold pineapples here too!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-287.jpg

This bamboo and yellow orchid creation is from none other than David Kimmel Designs.  Just. So. Chic.

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-301.jpg

Gro Designs stunned with a larger than life tiki torch design and we were obsessed with the “aloha” decals on the chairs!!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-360.jpg

The Wildflower’s design popped with bold tropical hues and we loved the movement of their arrangement!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-273.jpg

The styling of Bows and Arrows was simply gorgeous! We loved these dusty palms under the chargers and the taper candles in the hurricanes were the perfect touch!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-229.jpg

Jackson Durham was so creative in making their arrangement look like a giant palm tree!  Their leis were flown in all the way from Hawaii and were so gorgeous!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-139.jpg

Bella Flora stepped out of the box with their unique and organic orchid creation, we just loved the pops of yellow and orange!

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-68.jpg

The cool blues of the Bella Acento Lounge was perfect for the planners to catch up and relax as the sun set.

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-77.jpg

The cute pineapple signs were done by The Detail Department and while our awesome photographer, John Cain Sargent, got so many great shots, he didn’t venture into the ladies room where decals had been applied to the mirrors that read “how the hula are you?” and “nice coconuts!” also made by the Detail Department.

ArlingtonHallLeiDay-435.jpg

But of course, the main attraction was to feature our wonderful space and fabulous catering by Food Glorious Food!  Below are some images of the tasty little plates as well as a sneak photo of our chef, Joseph Oldham.

Hawaiian Tuna Stack with Sushi Rice, Wakame, Avocado, a Crispy Lotus Chip and Black Lava Sea Salt

Kona Coffee Seared Steak with Mac and Cheese and Succotash

Huli Huli Chicken Skewer with Purple Potato Salad

Tropical Fruit Trifle with Ginger Pound Cake

Guests enjoyed the chic lounge on the front porch by Gloss Luxury Rentals.  Justin Cash serenaded us all with his soulful voice.  The tent lighting by Absolute was pure magic!  A ceiling full of twinkle lights!

As a final surprise, Pyrotex shot off an aerial fireworks show for guests and it was spectacular!

We know that wedding planners work super hard and they love to have a good time.  So what’s a party without an after party?!   Back into the Great Hall where LeForce Entertainment rocked the house and guests danced their way to valet with a swag bag from Sourced Craft Cocktails.

Mahalo Wedding Planners!!!

Emily Clarke Events designed the covered part of the Front Porch and added a super  cool Detail Department photo backdrop wall for My Event is the Bomb!

Some of our tasty passed bites!

A gorgeous mix below of some amazing people like Caroline Events, John & Brittany Sargent, and Ben and Chrys Q!

Refreshing cocktails from Sourced! Super Stunning front porch with David Kimmel Designs and Emily Clarke Events.   We loved the cool blues of Diamond Affairs and their salted caramel favors were a huge hit!   A mix of Spring and Fall designs entertained in the foyer with Branching Out.

The Garden Gate wins with brand new gold containers and the Sandone tent was on point with the help of the lighting from Absolute.

Sea Bass, Tamales and Tuna.  Say no more.

Gro Designs with all whites and Jackson Durham with all the Fall hues…..love the different talents!

Always different and fun with Jordan Payne Events!

Louisiana Meets Dallas in April

This April 2014 wedding was one of the prettiest days in the park and we were so glad beautiful Angelle and dashing Drew chose to celebrate their wedding with us!  The azaleas were in full bloom and the weather was perfection!

The decor was gorgeous with fluffy floral from The Garden Gate and the all important lighting by Beyond.

The bride’s family is from Louisiana and definitely know how to have a good time!   The dance floor was packed with Limelight Band rocking the tunes, the bride even did the worm!

All the fun was captured by Rae Portraits and even years later, it’s still a classic full of energy and love!

To top off the party, guests cheered on the bride and groom as they hopped in a Pedi-Cab just as Pyrotex fireworks burst into the night sky.

Lucky in Love Dinner

On March 17th, we were lucky enough to host a dinner and discussion for a group of wedding professionals called, American Association of Certified Wedding Planners, or AACWP.   When their previously planned location fell through, we jumped at the chance to host this dinner and it just so happened to fall on St. Patty’s!!   We love a good themed event , so we jumped in to planning what we call an “Elegant Irish” affair.   Guests were greeted by a real Irish bagpiper courtesy of Absolute DFW.  Once they entered our foyer, Uptown Violins serenaded cocktail hour with beautiful Irish tunes.   As guests entered the Great Hall, they were in awe of the unique table setup to create a perfect atmosphere for a discussion on inspiration.  Look no further for inspiration than amazing & bright floral creations from Three Branches Floral.  We met these sweet sisters on a tour of Arlington Hall and we just knew they would be a perfect fit for our Elegant Irish dinner.  They took our ideas, ran with it and we are so glad we trusted them!   It’s Your Night set the glowing lighting that featured the entire room & decor so perfectly.  The beautiful wooden tables, gold chairs, green china, gold flatware and crystal stemware from Ducky Bob’s couldn’t have complimented our theme better!

Our Chef outdid himself with an amazing Elegant Irish 4 course dinner.   Guests noshed on an Irish charcuterie as welcoming remarks began.  Second course was our take on an Irish Flag; Shaved Brussels Sprouts with Grilled Pear, Orange and Walnuts in a Lemon Dijon Dressing-so yummy!   Third course was equally as tasty with Irish Butter Poached Seabass, Spinach Risotto, Sweet Potato Crisps and Tri-color Baby Carrots.   But we think we saved the best for last with our dessert trio!   Shamrock Shake with Bailey’s Mint, Mini Whiskey Bundt Cake with Irish Cream, and Orange Mouse in a Clementine Cup with Mint that we are still dreaming about!!   Guests regretfully departed but didn’t leave empty-handed as Frosted Art created adorable petit fours embellished with the Claddagh.  It is a symbol of love and relationship status in Ireland, so it couldn’t have more fitting for a group of wedding planners!

Kathryn+Mario

0664-kathryn+mario

Words can’t begin to describe the beauty and sentiment of this wedding!   It took 2 days to create the amazing ceremony and reception tents from Sandone and it was well worth the wait.  Katherine Mathes and her team easily guided our sweet couple, Kathryn and Mario, to a fabulous team of vendors to ensure a perfect day.  We loved the tent shot above so much that F8 Studios was kind enough to send us a print to proudly display in our offices!  From the stunning ceremony paper flower backdrop and to the enormous flowering branch and hydrangea designs in the tent and Great Hall, Branching Out Events wowed all of the lucky guests with their talent.   Tulu’s Gluten Free Bakery made the fabulous cake which was featured directly under the stunning Maria chandelier from Beyond.   The dance floor was packed as soon as Limelight Band came on stage and got everyone in a groovy mood.   Departure was a surprise for all the guests as fireworks exploded in the Texas sky to end the party with a bang!

A Fabulous Brunch Wedding

0211HelenLawsonWedding

Last January, we hosted one of the most colorful weddings with an awesome & fun family!   Helen and Lawson had a gorgeous brunch wedding reception with us and 400 of their closest friends and family and they couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather!   Of course the day was executed flawlessly with lead planner, Hannah Kohler of DFW Events at the helm.   The Garden Gate outdid themselves with bright colors, contemporary design and a myriad of blooms in every corner of the hall!   Balloon City decked out this fun clear tent from Sandone and the side tent even had a face painter for the kids, but then our free-spirited bride got her face painted too!   Perez Photography outdid themselves with the fabulous images and one of our favorites is of the tasty Panini Cakes!
